To be honest I have used the same makeup products for years. I have maybe changed a few things up, but once I find what works for me, my skin, and the right colour tones I don’t want to change. Why waste money trying to fix what isn’t broken? You could say I am very much a creature of habit when it comes to my everyday beauty routine.
To start off, every morning I wash my face with Shiseids Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam. I have legit used this face wash since I was fourteen, after stealing it from my mother one morning. It worked wonders for me and I haven’t switched since! For me face wash is huge, I have very sensitive skin thats prone to breakout, so I try to stick to what works on my face!
I follow up my morning face wash with Shiseidos Wrinkle Resist Day Emulsion Moisturizer! I tend to have oily skin and this stuff is great for that! I never find it to be oily or leave an oily residue, which I hate and it helps prevent wrinkles, bonus! I actually don’t just use this as a moisturizer but as my primer too, I find it’s a great base for my foundation. One less step is always great!
Next it’s all about foundation, a key part in my everyday look! For foundation I use MAC MatchMaster in the shade 1.0, this foundation is a medium coverage with all day wear. I can honestly wear this to work all day, go for dinner, maybe even a run and it still look great!
For concealer I fell in love years ago with the MAC Prolong Wear Concealer in the shade NC 15. It covers anything, has a great finish and lasts all day. I use this product everyday to cover, fix and highlight, and have never found anything to compare or come close to doing the wonders this stuff does!
After the foundation I go right to the brows, for me I have very little eyebrows happening so I like to add a little brow every morning! This product I actually do switch up every now and then, but right now I am all about the Colour Pop Gell Brow Pot, in the shade Blondie. It’s a great formula and if you want to read more about it check out my Colour Pop review
It’s time for the eyes and right now I am all about a rose smokey eye kind of look. I do use a different colour combo almost everyday but for the most part all the shades either come from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Pallet, my many Colour Pop Singles, or my MAC Soft Serve Shadow in the colour Cushy Life! For this one I might not have all the colour names because all my eye shadows are in a custom pallet, but I will put a list below of the names that I know for sure!
Eyeliner & Mascara
To finish my eyes off I use the Art Of Lining by Quo, it’s just a basic black liner nothing special and you can find it at the drugstore! Then for mascara, I love the Lancome Grandiose in black with it’s curved brush. Both I have used for while now and continue to purchase.
Highlighter is my favourite product ever! I actually have used the same highlighter for maybe three years now. I can’t find one that compares, so I just stick to the MAC LightScapade highlighter! It has a beautiful blend of ivory, violate, and pink tones that you just can’t go wrong with!
Bronzer is a fishing product I can’t go with out! Since I am so pale, I love to add a little colour and sculpt. At the moment I am all about two bronzers, MAC Global Glow and my limited edition MAC Golden Rinse. You no longer can get the Golden Rinse which breaks my heart but I have learned to use a little and love something else!
Powder is my last step, it adds the finishing touches to every look. I definitely switch my powders up and still can’t seem to find one I am totally in love. But right now I am using two, the Studio Fix Perfection Powder in the shade “Extra Light” and the Studio Sculpt Defining Powder in the shade “Light.” Depending on the day and what kind of finish I am looking for is kind of how I pick between the two, the studio fix has a lighter feel where the Studio Sculpt has a gel like feel.
To finish it off somedays I spray my face with MAC Prep + Prim Fix Spray. The light weight mist can finish a look off, or I more often use this spray to change the texture of a eyeshadow. I also use this finishing spray to help my blending sponge work it’s magic, just a light sprits goes a long way! This product is very versatile!
