After four months of waiting, two plane rides and a hour long drive from LAX we finally arrived at our destination! It was a long day of traveling, but we were all so thrilled to be at the happiest place on earth! We had waited a long while to finally get away and go on our first officail trip since getting married. This trip was our Disney Moon. Thanks to the lovely cast member at who taught us that!
We arrived to our hotel later in the day so we started our Disney fun off with a trip to The Down Town Disney District. Since we arrived at night there was no reason in waisting a day pass for just a few hours of park time. Not to mention we were all crazy tired from our day of travel! So we headed over to Down Town Disney to explored a little and check out the shops! I always love to look through the World Of Disney as well as Sephora because duh! We also happened to stop and eat dinner at everyones favourite Wetzel’s Pretzels! It’s the one place we stop to eat at every time we visit. After our quick bite to eat and a little shopping we all headed back to get a good nights rest before our next few busy days at Disneyland!!!!
Bright and early! Arriving at the park first thing in the morning has always been a family tradition… I say it’s all because my mom has always been too excited to sleep! However this trip we had to go through security that took a good thirty minutes to an hour to get through depending on how busy the park is! So getting to the park early wasn’t such a bad thing!
After we got through security we trucked our way over to the main entrance! We always picked Disney first because the line for California Adventure was always so long due to the new ride!
Our first day at Disney we headed right towards Tomorrow Land and thats where we jumped on our first ride, The Buzz Lighter Astro Blasters! It’s a ride where you go in a little buggy and shoot stuff. It was surprisingly so fun and I kicked Kyle’s butt! This ride definitely started our day out on a high note which we followed up with getting fast passes for Space Mountain! One of Kyle’s new favourite rides! Then the walking around begun as we started exploring the park a bit more before hopping in the line for Matterhorn Mountain Bobsleds!
By now it was snack time, so we stopped at our favourite Bengal BBQ! This little counter service restaurant is located over in Adventure Land across from the Indian Jones ride! We honestly went here almost every other day. It’s one of the healthier options in the parks and its sooo delicious. They serve chicken, beef and veggie skewers, their menu is not too big. I like this, so you don’t spend all day questioning your options!
After our afternoon snack we did some more walking around before jumping on the Haunted Mansion. The park was pretty busy the first few days we were there due to grad nights and just the time of year. This meant we would only go on rides that we could get a fast pass for or didn’t have that long of lines! For example of long lines, the one day Radiator Racers over in California Adventures was up to 3 hours long! How crazy right? I wouldn’t never wait that long for anything!
Speaking of California Adventures, we happened to go there right after the Haunted Mansion! We had done lots in Disneyland and lines were starting to get crazy so we thought we’d see what was next door. Oh and Kyle had been waiting to go check out Cars land! Over in California Adventure this season it was all about the summer of heroes. Which to me wasn’t that awesome but lots of people seemed to love it!
Cars land was clearly our first destination after entering California Adventures! We drove our little butts right on over to go check it out! Due to it being Kyles first visit we made sure to do lots of stuff for him! Since he is a huge car fan and loves everything cars, it was a no brainer why we had to go there first! We didn’t do any rides in Cars land at the time because of the very long lines but later on we did end up getting fast passes for Radiator Racers! Thank god I didn’t have to wait in a hella long line! Even though that ride is kinda worth it!
After Cars Land we moseyed around the park a bit more before heading back to Disneyland! We thought we’d have some dinner and catch the Electrical Light Parade I have been waiting to see. Crazy enough we got such good seats we stayed for the fire works that night too!
For some reason our first day was by far the busiest. We got so much done that the rest of the trip was so chill! That’s why I focused lots on this post being all about our first day. However I do have a few more posts coming your way! They will be based more on things to do, see and eat! So don’t worry you’ll be hearing more from me!
