Have you read my last post? Well if you have, you would have read all about our plan on moving. No you don’t exactly know where we are going or when we are leaving but you all know there is a journey ahead! So this post is going to give you a little more detail about what our plan is!
To start things off, we aren’t leaving till the end of November. However we will be packing all our stuff up, driving 12 hours to jump on a plane that will be headed to Bali! Yes you did read that right… We are going to Bali! In fact we are going to live in Bali for just over 2 months!! Crazy I know!
Funny enough this trip actually started off with us wanting to go explore the Philippines. We saw some beautiful places there, that we knew we wanted to go visit. However we chose not to go that route due to the price of flying to all these destinations, and the Philippines are becoming less safe by the day! Which scared me!
After making that decision I jumped on Trip Advisor and started researching other spots to go and that’s how we came across Bali. We noticed right away how authentic the culture was and how many experiences were also offered there. On just one island you can explore hundreds of beautiful beaches, visit the rice paddies and have an unlimited amount of day trips to so many places! Not to mention you can also stay at some incredible hotels or villas for cheap!
We actually found a gorgeous newly built villa with a private pool for just under $50 a night! It has a great location as it is also only a few blocks away from the beach! Finding this villa was a huge reason why we ended up deciding Bali was were we would go! It was honestly a no brainer after seeing what we could get with the budget we had! These days you can’t normally get a modern private pool villa in a great location for any where near $50 a night!
Some people may say we are not getting the “experience ” because we are staying at a nice place and not living out of a backpack and what not, but that wasn’t what we were looking for in this trip! Kyle and I wanted to get away, see some culture and just experience new things together before we settled down! After you buy a house you can’t just get up and leave for two months…
Maybe it’s just us but this adventure sound perfect! We are leaving everything behind and I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to start our new lives out?! So stay tuned like always for more details and fun trip planning stuff!
I know you all are wanting to see this villa…
